How predictions are made
Every prediction starts from Valve’s global standings of 2 November 2026. The points gap between two teams sets the chance to win a map on a flat Elo-style scale; a 100-point edge makes a team about a 55% favourite in a best-of-one and 58% in a best-of-three, a 200-point edge 65% in a best-of-three.
The editorial team then adjusts the pick for the format, line-up changes, map pool and form. Where no adjustment is published, the page says that the estimate comes from the standings alone.
A prediction is an opinion, not a promise. Best-of-one matches in particular produce frequent upsets. 18+.
Title chances for the whole event are on the Major winner odds page, stage picks in the Pick'Em guide.
Frequently asked questions
Questions about match pages and predictions.
When are the Singapore Major matches announced?
PGL publishes the pairings of each Swiss round shortly before it is played. Round 1 of Stage 1 is drawn from the seeds before 24 November.
Where do the odds on match pages come from?
From the rated bookmakers, copied by the editorial team on the date shown next to the odds table. Odds move, so check the bookmaker before betting.
How accurate are the predictions?
They estimate chances, not results. A 60% favourite still loses four times out of ten.
